| , better known as "Rocky Point", originated as a small fishing village in 1927 and gradually developed into one of the major shrimp production areas in the Sea of Cortez. Over the past two decades tourism has become the mainstay employment for the townspeople. Unique ocean conditions create extreme tides of up to 23 feet between high and low. This produces a unique marine life that must be able to adapt itself to these conditions. Swimming in the area is very safe and emulates lake conditions with no rip tides and a very calm water, unless it is windy. Along the miles of white sandy beaches you will find one of the few places where you can watch the sunrise and sunset on the same horizon. This destination is definitely worth the trip! just 66 miles south of the US border on the north end of the Sea of Cortez, this playground offers the closest beach for millions of Americans living in the southwest. Some are full time residents in the area. From Phoenix & Tucson the 210 mile drive takes approximately 4 hours. |

Puerto Peņasco lies in what is known as the "free zone", or "zona libre", meaning no car registration is needed unless you are going further south then Peņasco. There are many wonderful sites to take in along the way, two of which are national preserve areas. They are the Organ Pipe National Monument and the BIosphere Reserve, which covers more then 2 million acres of land and sea!
This charming little town of 30,000 offers everything from relaxing with a cold margarita on a magnificent sunset cruise to shopping in the mercado, or along the local stands near Cholla Bay. Activities in the area include scuba diving, sailing, snorkeling, and wind surfing, just to name a few! If fishing is your delight, you will find many different varieties available year round. Fresh catch of the day can be purchased and filleted for you at the fish market. Deep sea fishing charters are available on half and full day tours. |

Payments &
Deposits
All reservations require a deposit.
Reservation made for dates within 35 days require payment in
full.
Reservations beyond 35 days require a deposit of the first
night stay. Your credit card will automatically be charged
the remainder 30 days prior to arrival.
Credit cards are processed by Reservations Online LLC.
General Rules
The person whose name is on the reservation must be present
to receive key unless prior written arrangements have been
made. Person who's name appears on reservation must have a
valid photo ID. No pets of any kind are permitted.
Smoking in the units is not permitted. Offenders are subject
to loss of security deposit. No fireworks are permitted on
the property. All children must be accompanied by an adult
to the pools. Bottles or glass products are not permitted
near the pool. ATVs are not allowed on Sandy Beach. You may
bring your ATV's and trailers, but it at the discretion of
management as to where a trailer may be parked based on
occupancy of resort. Only Las Palmas guests are permitted on
the property. Loud music and or rowdiness is not allowed on
the property. Room occupancy limits are enforced and
management reserves the right to distribute and require
rental guests to wear wrist bands indicating they are a paid
guest.
Pools & Hot
Tubs
Pool rules are posted and must be followed.
Pools and hot tubs are not heated year-round. During the
winter season, at least one pool and one hot tub will be
heated but not all pools and hot tubs will be heated during
off-season. Pool schedules are determined by the Home
Owner's Association and management can not alter the
routine. For the winter of 2005-2006, the Baja Tower pool
will be heated. Hot tubs for each tower will be heated over
weekends. This is subject to change without notice.
Please note:
All condos and homes are privately owned, please do not take
furniture, electronics or wears from one unit to another.
Rooms at Las Palmas do not have telephones. The Rental
Office sells calling cards for use with the lobby phone.
Las Palmas makes every effort to keep you in the room
assigned at the time the reservation was created. Due to
maintenance, security and other circumstances beyond our
control, we reserve the right to move you to an equally
accommodating unit should it be neccessary. |

If sofa bed is provided, then up to 2 extra persons allowed at $20/person/night. Children age 12 and under are free. Maximum persons (including children - any babies) is 1 bedroom = 4 persons, 2 bedrooms = 6 persons, 3 bedrooms = 8 persons (except in those rare instances when more bedding is provided in the unit). Holiday 3 night minimum stay. All rates are subject to change. There is a $150 refundable security deposit charged for each unit reserved.
